Hey Ya’ll!
I can’t believe its already Sunday! The weekends go by SO fast! But I can’t complain too much because spring break for me is in 3 weeks! I don’t have anything planned besides dental and doctor appointments, but hey, it’s a break from work!
Well, St. Paddy’s is right around the corner and I wanted to share with you an activity I’ll be doing with my kids this week to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Ever since I started teaching, I’ve been obsessed with having my students put back together scrambled sentences. This is not only engaging for the kiddos but it helps hugely with sentence structure! I’ve been creating themed Scrambled Sentences, which you can find in my TPT store. Here is my St. Patrick’s Day scrambled sentences which tells the students the history of St. Patrick’s Day.

Now, I’ve increased the rigor for the scrambled sentence activity. These sentences will take some “sentence structure” thinking and will not come to the students right away. I use these with my second graders but your first graders that need more of a challenge could use these, as well as your third graders.
Well, I’m off to do some lesson planning! Have a wonderful week everyone!
